A Note from Aly
Hey there,
If you've made it to this page, you're probably wondering a little more about the person behind EMPOWERHOUSE. So, here's the short version of how I got here.
I've always felt called to work in service of others. In my 20s, that led me to study conflict resolution and build a career in the international nonprofit sector. For more than a decade, I worked with people and organizations in over 50 countries navigating growth and change. I organized and spoke at international conferences, managed multinational teams, and even co-authored a resilience framework for organizations going through periods of transition. I loved the work.
But by 2016, I was burning out. Then a devastating event in my personal life pushed me into several years of chronic stress. My sleep, eating, and movement changed. I withdrew from people. I became more defensive and increasingly disconnected from myself and the world around me.
Looking back, what strikes me most is how interconnected it all was. There wasn't one problem to solve. My body, emotions, relationships, environment, habits, and sense of self were all affecting one another.
And there wasn't one thing that helped me find my way back either.
Movement helped. Nature helped. Coaching helped. Relationships helped. Changing my habits helped. Learning to understand my nervous system helped. So did laughter, music, challenge, rest, and gradually learning to pay attention to myself again.
That experience fundamentally changed how I understand personal growth:
People are not problems to be fixed. And change does not happen in isolation.
In 2022, I formally transitioned from the nonprofit sector into integrative coaching, but EMPOWERHOUSE has continued to evolve alongside me. What began primarily as coaching expanded into Pilates, workshops, retreats, and community experiences—not as separate pursuits, but as different ways of supporting the same process.
Today, EMPOWERHOUSE is the ecosystem I wish I'd had when I was navigating my own period of change: a place to move, reflect, experiment, connect, and practice living in a way that feels more true to yourself.
I'm glad you found your way here.
Abrazo enorme,
Aly
P.S.
I also believe that a meaningful life should have plenty of room for things that are simply fun. For me, that's spending time with family and friends, exploring movement in all its forms, reading, cooking, making music with my band The Space Between, and getting to Patagonia whenever I can.
Originally from New Jersey, I now call Buenos Aires home, where I live with my husband and our dog—and where much of EMPOWERHOUSE has taken shape.

Change is not only possible—
it starts the moment you decide to choose you.
What I Believe
People are not problems to be fixed.
We work with the whole person, not an isolated problem.
Change does not happen in isolation.
Our bodies, relationships, habits, environments, and experiences all influence how we live.
Experience creates possibility.
Understanding matters. But lasting change happens when we have opportunities to practice something different.
